Academics & Joining a Fraternity or Sorority

Chapter Academic & Membership Performance

FSP Campus Life Image

Academic excellence is a vital aspect of fraternity and sorority membership, after all, members are students first. In an effort to support that, each chapter has an officer who provides members with academic resources. These resources can can included a required number of study hours each week, a list of members with the same majors, bringing in campus resources & partners for educational presentations and workshops and so much more.

Fraternity & Sorority Programs provides academic programming to chapters by request in addition to hosting Academics 101 and Greek Academy each semester. Academics 101 is a program for Academic/Scholarship Chairs to educate them on campus resources they can utilize to better serve their members. Greek Academy is a 5-week skill development program to help students who are struggling academically to develop the skills necessary to be successful. These two programs are offered each semester and updated based on student feedback and the evolving student experience.
