Joining a fraternity or sorority during the 2016-2017 Academic Year
There are a few different ways to join a fraternity or sorority, and it will depend largely on the type of organization. No individual is ever guaranteed membership into a fraternity or sorority.
Panhellenic Sorority Recruitment
August 11- 20, 2017—You must register before August 1
This process is for women hoping to join one of the 12 housed sororities, making up ~3,000 women total. This is a very formal process and occurs before the start of classes for the fall semester. Please visit the Panhellenic Website for more information.
Panhellenic Formal Recruitment- Residence Hall Move In
If you will be living in a residence hall, you will move-in early, on Saturday, August 12th, at your assigned move-in time. You must be registered for Sorority Recruitment in order to move-in on Saturday. Questions about recruitment should be directed to Fraternity and Sorority Programs, questions about move-in should be directed to Residence Life.

Interfraternity Council Fraternity Recruitment
August 12–21, 2016—You must register before August 1st
This process is for men hoping to join one of 23 fraternities, many with facilities. This is a very formal process, but men may join outside of the process during spring recruitment, which is very informal. Outside of the process interested men can contact the chapter directly or contact IFC to find out who is recruiting.
Interfraternity Council Formal Recruitment- Residence Hall Move In

You must be registered for Fraternity Recruitment in order to move-in on Saturday. United Sorority and Fraternity Council Events
USFC Member organizations each recruit differently. Most have a requirement that an individual has a previously established GPA in order to join. USFC hosts events during NewStart, and Wildcat Welcome to invite students to learn more about the organizations. Chapters also participate in the annual Step, Stroll and Salute (Triple-S) Show each year to showcase their organization. Please visit the USFC Website for more information!
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Sorority and Fraternity Events
NPHC groups do not recruit, but rather do intake. Please take the time to meet their members, attend their chapter events and research the organizations. NPHC organizations do not take first semester freshmen, and have specific requirements for interests. Please visit their website to learn more about the organizations.

Go Greek Informational Fair
For students interested in learning about joining a fraternity or sorority at the University of Arizona, this laid back setting is great opportunity to speak with members from all fraternities and sororities on campus. Each chapter will have a table and members on hand to answer questions. A formal presentation about Greek Life at U of A will kick off the event at 6pm. For information on IFC recruitment visit http://greeklife.arizona.edu/ifc-recruitment . There is no organized recruitment process for Panhellenic.
